Marinated Green Peppers recipe

Ingredients:

6 green peppers.
½ cup of olive oil.
1 cup of white wine vinegar.
2 tablespoons of water.
1 bay leaf.
1 teaspoon of salt.
1 teaspoon of sugar.
3 peppercorns, bruised.
2 cloves garlic, peeled.

Directions:

Wash the green peppers, then cut in half and remove seeds and fibrous lining.

Dry the pepper halves and place them under high heat in broiler.

Broil them until their skins turn brown.

Remove from broiler and peel off the burnt surface.

In a jar, combine the the olive oil, white wine vinegar, water, bay leaf, salt, sugar, peppercorns and garlic. Shake thoroughly to blend.

Put the peppers in a jar, then pour the marinade over them.

Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
